Afternoon beauty fix/ Nail polish remover that removes even the blackest of blacks

Monday, September 26, 2011

Dark colours like red, grey, black, and navy not only take the longest to dry, they’re also the most difficult to get rid of. If your remover is pumped up with “moisturizing” oils and flowery fragrances, it’s likely to leave dark lines of pigment around your cuticles. Oils interfere with the effectiveness of acetone, which is what works to remove stubborn paint, and leave you scrubbing at the surface to no avail. The overall best option is to find a remover with 60 percent acetone or more. We like Sally Hansen Maximum Strength Regular Formula Polish Remover ($4, at select mass retailers)It smells stronger, but works best to prep nails for a better mani next time.
